Removing rear windows.

Featured Replies

Hi all, how easy is it to remove the rear windows?

I want to tint the rears, but worry that the fibres from the window surronds will get in the way.

I would pay a proessional but at mo I don't have £145 and I am not sure I will like it. So I want to try it for £15 then see how it goes.

Regards,

Damian.

I've taken fronts out before and they are easy if your careful so can't be much harder. Get ya Haynes manual out and you should be ok.

How are you going to tint the rear screen though?

If you were closer I could get all 3 rear screens done for £70 for you

Rear I will do like they normally do rears, but as for the rear doors they have that weird fluffy rubber around it so I dont want the getting in the way whilst I am trying todo it.

Dang!! It would probably cost me that in petrol to get to you.

Yes you can get the film on but can you heat shrink it for a decent job that'd be my worry

Every time I have seen someone do that they have melted the vinyl/tint that they where using. Think I would just let it dry TBH. Like the youtube videos show.
