Climatronic

Featured Replies

I have noticed now that the weather is getting cooler, when I start my car from cold in the mornings , my Climatronic immediately starts and blows cold air on two bars. Can it be programmed to only start to blow air when the engine has warmed up. Or is this usual with this type of Climate Control. ( First Vag group car I have had.previously with Renault , no probs, at all with their Climate Control.)

Sorry, did you just say that Renault allow you to drive off in the morning with no demisting?

No, not at all, it just did not blow cold air around the well area when first starting the engine.

Normally climate systems wait for the engine to warm up before doing much at all, unless you put them on Max.

I have climatronic in my vRS and have not really noticed the cold air thing you describe but mainly had it on in good weather, so will keep an eye out as the temp starts to fall a bit now.

Any others can comment ?

Mine does blow a little, but then more when it's warmed up. As it should.

Certainly doesn't bother me yet. If it does then I'll check where it's blowing, as it should really just be on the screen until warm.
