Does anybody know if the PD130 Lump will fit the gearbox on a 4x4 1.8T?

Or if the engine and gearbox from a 130PD will fit onto the drive train and transfer box of the 4x4?

Or if not where i might be able to find out?

Now this seems a good idea, don't think the 1.8t gearbox would be tho as the ratios would be wrong

Not sure the ratios of the 4x4 O2J would work that well with a diesel lump tbh

The Octavia 1U 4x4 1.9TDI came with a long-ratio O2M as standard, so that would be a logical combo

I've been led to believe the 2WD boxes don't fit to the 4x4 transfer

I know petrol ratios would be differnet but just thinking of a way i can do this!

In europ they made a 1U PD 4x4 the 105BHp lump

but its not worth the effort to go get one and bring it back and then RHD convert it!

They must have use the VAG group lego box when they made it!?

So there must be a way of doing it?

Trouble is it's an old shape a3, dunno why but it's the only 1u platform car that looks really dated and it did that really quickly

You could buy that or something like, and use it for a donar. Break the rest and sell on

You'd get the 6spd box, driveshafts, propshaft, better seats, suspension, etc ,etc.

id buy an octy 4x4 shell and mate it to that gear box and use the rest of my car, so it will end up an Octavia VRS 4x4 Diesel!
