Variable boot floor PK5 for 2011/2012 Superb Estate

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

I'm about to place an order for either a Superb SE plus Estate or Superb Elegance Estate with a 2.0 TDI CR 170PS DSG DPF Engine.

One of my unresolved issues at the moment is that because I cannot see an estate at the dealers I do not know whether the floor is totally flat at the entry point at the rear of the car. I believe that when the rear seats are folded it is still nowhere near flat so long bulky items need supporting in the boot area.

I am considering the Variable boot floor option but I am not sure what this will give me unless the floor is not flat without it.

I would appreciate some guidance from forum members to clear up this point for me.

Regards

The Floor is lower than the boot lip without this option. If you want a nice flat floor then get it.

Why the hell they make the version without this option I do not know?, Mine BTW don't have the raised floor, but I wish it had (my car was an ex. showroom car)

This ^^

Estate without flat floor is useless imo. If you want the extra height for some reason aiui you can take out the variable floor.

If Skoda were a website it would be described as not that user friendly.

eg configurator always has differences from the brochure.

eg brochure says variable boot floor available on any model.

configurator says not available on Greenline.

Ask the dealer, get a very odd answer. Although James from Allam's was very clear about this, so why not others?

When I was considering a Yeti the discrepancies were even worse.

Get a grip Skoda!

WTF!!!

Does anybody know if the variable boot floor can be retrofitted?

Personally, i like the extra few inches NOT having the variable floor gives me... the couple of inches under the floor, would be useless to me, but the additional height in the boot area, is invaluable.

Al.

Yes the variable boot floor raises up the floor slightly so that when you fold down the seats it is flat although there still is a very small lip between the boot floor and the edge of the tailgate.
