Dension Gateway 300 - Media Player 3 Code

Featured Replies

Hello, i'm new of this Forum, i'm writing from Italy.

First of all, i'm sorry for my bad english :S

I've an Octavia 1.6 TDI Wagon 4x4, with radio SWING, and i'm interested in buying the Dension Gateway 300 V2 (CAN, with text function), the instruction says that: "Media player 3 (2E) option has to be coded before or after the GW16/33V21 installation".

What mean?

I've contacted Dension Service: they answered me that i'have to contact a Skoda dealer for enabling this function.

Someone knows what is this function?

For enabling it it's need tha VAG-COM (or something similiar?)

Thank a lot

I do not recommend this product as the maxi dot display keeps on disappearing and there doesn't seem to be fix for this

I agree, you keep having to do resets to get the info back on Maxidot.

Trying to navigate using the CD Changer controls is an art in itself and I could never get the hang of it.

Thanks a lot for the answers.

So i'll try to install the MDI... But in Italy isn't easy find it...

Also with the MDI is necessary enabling something or it is "plug and play"?

You might be better sourcing a Bolero - 6 CD multichanger unit with mp3 capability via an SD card. Just make sure you've got a late version of canbus to solve any battery drain issues - see other posts on here about that.

Yes could be a good idea but, at the moment, i don't want change the radio because the SWING works well and a new Bolero is too expensive.

The problem is not the reading of Mp3, but the connection with Ipod.

Thanks
