Lamin-X

Featured Replies

I know someone will tell me to go out with a tape measure, but I'm sat here in a pair of shorts and cant be arsed to go out in the cold!

Just decided to order some light tint lamin-x to do my headlights, fogs and clear sections of my rears. From experience, how much have other people ordered allowing for a couple of **** ups?

Just get the biggest - 12x28 for about £25 ish.

I done a pair of Audi headlights, my headlights and my fogs for about that size and a bit left.

Either that or get out there and measure, it's august! ;):)

I was going to buy from Lamin-X, but... Whhhooouuuaaa, they do money on this :) Ordered from the states instead, $50 incl shipping to Sweden, Lamin-X was about $285 for the same amount... Started to mod today, will do fog/DRL tomorrow and rear as well.

And Yes, I've done a couple of f*ck ups already, but I've got a lot of this shi*...stuff :-)

Tbh that is what I was thinking. Is that you car on the Lamin-x website? Certainly suits a red Fabia.

August? More like bloody November lol.

No, not my car on site. Mine's nicer than that. Lol. ;)

As Dekagon ^^^ was saying, the US stuff is also easier to work with, it's got that little bit more stick to it and as he said, a lot cheaper.

The biggest sheet they do is big enough for both headlights and fogs... But only if you don't mess up!!

I used a piece of newspaper to get the correct shape and size, drew the template on the backing paper and cut out.

I also lightly misted each light prior to application. This helped a lot when needing to correctly place the film

The US **** :)

Subtle tint is the one I got, from .co.uk
