From M3 to Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all, just got myself a 2005 Fabia vRS in black :) I did intend to buy a golf GT TDI but soon went off that idea after going out in a few. Post divorce and pre next marriage :o I needed a sensible car for a year or so, I fully expected it to be a painful experience, but finding the Fabia has cheered me up, cracking little car thats going to get kept a lot longer than originally planned B)

My last couple of cars, second to last was my S14a 200sx, the second of my 400 odd bhp 200's:

And my last car, a rather outstanding E36 M3 Evo with coilovers and 335 bhp, a bit of a weapon to say the least and a car I will probably get again at some point:

I'm resisting the urge to start doing a "few" sensible mods to the Fabia, I've promised myself its staying standard, except maybe brake pads when they need doing  it does feel like a little more grunt would make it even more smile worthy :)

I'll get some pics up when I've had a chance to give it a good clean

hi and welcome GET HER REMAPPED it transforms the car I had mine done when i had one plenty of info advice and recommendations on here! Enjoy

Welcome to briskoda.

Look for a £300 remap offer & you could leave the rest as std ( I did when I had my Black Magic, it makes a GREAT stealth car specially on the m/ways accelerating after traffic queues emoticon-0148-yes.gif )

Welcome,

After a remap, rear anti roll bar

Welcome,

Yeah as mentioned, get the car remapped. It will be a different car afterwards, more power, better economy and the ability to annoy alot of people when times call. If you aren't satisfied with the handling i can highy recommend a rear anti roll bar which will again transform the handling of the fabia.

Hope you enjoy the little Sköda dude.

Cheers guys  enjoying it so far, especially the cost of filling up :) I probably will get a remap at some point, along with brakes and RARB to stop the roly poly behaviour :giggle: no rush really, I've had fast, highly modded cars for the last ten years and no desire to do much other than enjoy this car with minimal fuss, although a bit more overtaking ability would be nice.... anyway, some pics including with one of friends vRS's that he popped round in today:
