Hi all,

I noticed recently that some irritating noise is coming from glasses compartment on the roof of my Octavia II FL. When I hold it during driving noise disappear. Anybody else have this problem? Any idea how to disassemble it and better fix it?

Mine does this but only when it has glasses in. I put a price of tissue in there to sort it, stops the rattling about

I forgot to mention that mine is crackling when there are no glasses in it... And it is not fixed 100% so I believe if I find a way to fix it properly it will be ok.

Mine did that. I fixed it be removing the courtesy light next to it, couple if torx screws I recall. That gave access to the void behind the glasses holder. I then packed out behind the glasses area with some old (clean!) socks. The whole area around it is now firmer when pressed & not as flimsy feeling. The creaks & groans dissppeared.
