please help !!!

my VRS is coming up to 12 months old

when i bought it it came with the normal 3 years/30k free service

when i rang to book it in for its 1st service the dealer (who i bought it from) said it wasnt due as the car hadnt done the mileage and "any way its not 2 years old" i said it had the free servicing and they said "dont matter its on time or mileage" .... funny thing is i had free servcing on my 1st vrs and they were the first people to contact me when my car was due .... please could some one confirm when it is due please .. many thanks

10,000 miles or 12 months, the service packs will run time and distance not variable.

Your not far from us if you need someone who knows what they are doing (Worcester).

Hi David

It is all a bit confusing but when Dealer's give you the free servicing or you buy a service package, for economic reasons I suppose, as Tech1e says it is 10K and not variable so I would hound them to check that confirm what the situation should be. The oil may well be 507 and therefore last 2 years and about 19K miles (it did on our TSI VRS) but if it is on the service plan they will do a 10K service from my experience.

Alway use to buy cars from Brooklyns in Redditch must have bought half a dozen from them but do not know their replacements. Have used Startin in Worcester and found them fine but also used Savilles in Kiddeminster and found them top knotch. Also All Electric in Brum, Kings Heath and Halesowen though I think they have moved out of Halesowen so you have lots of choices.

You will not get two variable services in the 30K so it is just when you want to have your one free service unless you can push them to accept two 10K services to keep you happy or were you hoping for three as that sounds very hopefully?

As above all service packs are fixed intervals

+2, every 12 months!

ok thanks

have used them before and they were good and they did collect and deliver from where i live but they no longer do .....

Had the same deal and the same problem.

Car wasn't set to annual servicing, I never got round to chasing it up.

End result was that the 1st variable service was done free but that was it.

But if I was you I'd stamp my feet a bit, 3 services is the deal.
