New to the brand.

Been sniffing around on here for a little while before I purchased my new, ish car and thought I'd introduce myself seeing as the info on here has seemed good so far.

I've recently given up ragging around race tracks on motorbikes and needed a car that was good on the motorway, was sensible, comfy, handled, stopped, had a bit of poke, and made me grin, so as you can imagine it's taken me a little while to find a car that ticks all those boxes and was enough to pull me away from bikes.

Well I'm pleased to say the Octavia VRS CR170 I bought two weeks ago has ticked all the boxes so far and I keep finding toys on it that the main dealer I bought it from didn't tell me about which is amusing.

A friend of mine is Bristol owns a detailing business (Revolution detailing) and spent 9 hours cleaning and protecting the paint, wheels, interior, windows, engine bay and wheels and it's like a new pin now.

He even took the number plates of so he could clean behind them.

I've sourced a tuning firm local to me who will charge £450 for a stage one chip which will give it 208bhp or a stage 2 chip for an extra £50 to take it to 228bhp.

Why?

I shall be doing track days in it when the urge arises along with my other half in her car.

Something else I'm interested in is decoding the Columbus entertainment system (which is awesome) so the DVD player can be viewed on the move and whats all this about a tv?

Can anyone help?

Well my name is Scott and I look forward to anymore help and advice that can be given :)

Thank you, but what does it say to you cos the jury is still out for me?

My Mrs worked at the DVLA for years and talked me into to buying one cos she's a private plate tart. :D

Lol. To the Skoda lover and a couple others Octy sticks out but for those that know me it's Scotty because that's what everyone calls me :)

Could have it work both ways really. Makes the plate even better

Good photo and looks like you have plans for the car already. Fun ahead me thinks :p
