My electric windows have gone mad!

Featured Replies

Suddently yesterday, my driver's window wouldn't go down pressing the button once- and then going up was struggling so much I thought it wasn't going to close. I tried the passenger one and the same happened. Both worked flawlessly until yesterday. Do they need resetting and what the hell happened??

This car has had a few niggles, I won't go as far as saying it's rubbish but it's getting me down a bit!

What year is it??

Possible the window regulators as this was a big problem on the mk4 golf/bora etc

I would try a reset first. My Roomster was delivered with the rear drivers side window not responding to button presses. Following a reset (using the door locking remote to get it to open) everything was fine. Have a read of your owners manual about the force limiter function and operational faults.

mine seems to go down if i click the auto up quickly??? whats that about :S

Probably needs to be reprogrammed, try holding it to close and holding for another 5 seconds. Worked on my old octy at least :)

put your key in the drivers door when car is locked, turn key clockwise and should reset the lotemoticon-0148-yes.gif
