Skoda bonnet/boot badges - how to replace?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm considering replacing the boot and bonnet SKODA badges on my MkI vRS, theres a few blemishes on them where it looks like water has managed to get in.

As such, i was thnking about remvoing them and replacing them with a pair of new OEM badges.

Before i do this, i was just wondering if anyone knows:

a) The OEM part numbers

b)How one goes about removing the old badges and attaching the new ones? (Im guessing its a case of heating up and loosen the existing adhesive, removeing the old badge, then tidying up and sticking some adhesive material onto the new badges and popping them into place?)

Cheers for the help dudes

got my old badges off with a spoon just prise them off

put a cloth or bit of t-shirt over the spoon first though so dont scratch the car

I'm just bought a pair from TPS for SWMBO's Octy - £22 ish inc VAT for the two. The badges have self adhesive foam. Hair dryer to warm and loosen and a bit of thin wire down behind the badge to loosen it off.

Part number is 1U0 853 621 C for front and back.

Cheers useful info! I take it the new badges come with locating pins or similar so that they can be properly aligned?
