Handbrake Adjuster Arms

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

You managed to help me with a previous issue so I was wondering if anyone had some insight.

I have just had the back brakes done on an 05 plate Fabia. The drums, cylinders and fixing kits were replaced (after 75k miles) but there was also an issue with the "handbrake adjuster arm". Apparently these are rare to need changing unless it is not serviced regularly (admission time. mine was last done March'09 and not since because of cost) and as a result the teeth on it were almost bald. The mechanic who did the work for me has manged to get the handbrake to catch as it should but apparently these parts are not readily available from Skoda.

I know.. I don't deserve to own a car if I can not afford to service it. I am starting to learn my lesson, but would appreciate any input.
