SKC Keycode

Featured Replies

So, last year I lost my only key to the car, with the SKC code on it, got the car towed back to the local dealer (alarm blaring all the way) and got a new remote coded.

Now, I asked them for the SKC code and they brushed me off and said I didn't need it.

I now know that to get Maxidot installed, or a new key coded, or anything, I need the SKC code, which the dealer charges to retrieve.

When they recoded a new key and the immobiliser, should they have given me the code? do they store it somewhere?

No they don't, their computer connects straight into the VAG network and the coding is done online, they don't even see the code.

We can retrieve it for you, and given that your car will be with us this week we can do it for you while it's in if you'd like :)

And this is why Ben is so highly thought of. Top Man
