That's about the norm depends how quickly you get in to dealers and where in the cycle you are, they get allotted regs for that particular area

I didn't but only because it was one of the last ones they had. Think i would have done if it had come on it for Sept 1st. They chose a pretty good one for me anyway so can't grumble

I told the dealer, I didnt care what the reg was...

He chose one that has the same leters (But mixed up a bit) as my old one on a 60 plate. I still cant remember what it is.

Wish I would have chosen something, just so it was diffrent for my memory sake!

I ordered my car in July, it's due for delivery in March 2012. I asked the dealer about registration number allocation - They said that they usually get a list of numbers (25, in their case) during the second week of February. The best way to get the biggest choice is to approach your dealer about three weeks before the new registrations are issued.

Having said that, I'm considering buying a private plate.
