Hi-just after a bit of advice.is it normal for a vrs petrol 4 to 6 years old with avrage miles to use a bit oil or have I just been looking at sheds  .

Some more than others.

My 4yr old (50k) probably uses up to one liter between annual /10k services.

A lot are worse a few are better.

I know this can be the case on a diesel but 1 litre of oil for 10k on a petrol seems bit high to me.I have never had a petrol engine that uses that much oil unless it was burning it or losing it but you live and learn.

My dads old 1.4 16V Polo 9N sport used to!

I have never had a diesel use more than 0.5 litres per 10k.
