fabia 1 1.2 estate hard ride

Featured Replies

Hi all,I am a new member.Bill from derby.

I have recently bought a fabia 1 1.2 petrol estate. It Is a used car with only 22,600 on the clock, and Is a 2009 reg.It is a great car except for one thing.the ride is very hard.Instead of the suspension riding out the bumps & pot holes, leaving the car body relatively steady, the car tends to follow the bumps & hollows instead of smoothly riding them out.Does anyone know If the suspension can be adjusted to remedy this? Or Is It a case of just fitting softer shocks? If so,what are the best shocks to fit to make the ride more comfortable.

Thanks,

best wishes Bill.

Hi, welcome. May I ask what is the size of your wheels / rims? Because bigger and low profile wheels tends to follow road scarfs. Car has low mileage and thus I don't think its shock absorbers are dead.

Hi there,

My tyres are 195/55 on 15inch steel wheels.

Best Wishes,
