Picked up Fabia mk2 tsi ,om turning off the engine the display read CHECK DEADLOCK refer to manual, cant find anything in MANUAL what does this message mean how do i correct it?

Deadlock is a feature that when locked, the doors will not operate with the interior handles.

This is activated on normally exiting the car and locking.

To deactivate the deadlock, you need to press the lock button twice and you will hear it disable as a second click.

Unfortunately i dont know about your error message, hopefully someone else will be along soon to help.

I don't think it's an error message - rather a reminder about the deadlocks. Mine always does it. See this previous post

Eh? My dealer told me single click to lock and double click to deadlock. Will check the manual.

Edit: That was some handover, the only thing the salesman took me through And he got that wrong, cheers for the heads up Marttyn
