1.4 tdi power loss

Featured Replies

I had a fault on my 2005 Fabia 1.4 TDI for some time. The car will start fine then after some time driving there was a large loss of power followed by the managment light coming on. The resulting fault code was always the same " low boost presure ". After spending quite a bit of cash on parts such as an air mass and boost sensor i found the problem to be the coolant temp sensor ????. I only changed this because i had one fail on my Passat TDI and was told it was a common fault. As the parts looked the same it was worth a try. The dealer told me the next step would have been a new ECU or turbo so i had to give it a go.The car has been perfect since the new temp sensor was fitted and it only takes minutes the fit. I hope this is of some help to anyone with the same problem.
