used yeti prices must be dropping

Featured Replies

I have just noticed my 1.2tsi that I traded in for my 110 4 months ago has dropped in price originally on the forecourt for £16.995 now on the forecourt for £15.490 My link

It was bound to happen eventually, it's all to do with supply and demand.

A lack of used Yeti's and long lead times kept the prices high.

A quick look on eBay Motors, Autotrader or Skoda's used car site will reveal choice is now plentiful.

There are 166 Yeti's on Autotrader alone, all-be-it nearly new very low mileage examples.

On or around it's third birthday we should see even more used ones appearing, this time with higher mileage and even keener pricing.

Given the overall economic picture at the moment car dealers will all be having difficulty shifting stock, and used car prices are likely to fall across the board.

Hi Kev,

see they have also got a 2011 1.4 SE for only £500 more and low miles, which I think makes your old Monster still look expensive at the new lower price :wonder:

As you suggest some dealers are now bringing prices down although others are still asking for almost new price :o

Regards,

TP

But that is still more than I paid for my brand new one built to order, I'm not surprised they didn't get any interest at the higher price.

Hi Tim

My old 1.2 has now got pride of place in the showroom, they may have a 1.2tsi se DSG coming in soon a ex demo one they sold, the owner is now looking to go 4x4 but my salesman said they would be offering thousands less than the gave for my part x, they are only going to make about £400 on my old one.

Station garage are having a 25 years of trading celebration day at the beginning of October with the land speed Octavia and the Fabia rally car and a off road event, they have asked me to take my 110 4x4 along to do the off road part along with their 170 demo yeti  , :'( I'm on holiday that week in the Caribbean :swear: I will get it off road one day

regards

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

that's a real shame the event clashes with your hols  but I'm sure your going to have a great time away :)

The slump in prices seems to be particularly hitting the less popular 1.8 and the other petrols appear to be going the same way as theres more of them about. Think diesel 4x4 will decline once (and if) this 140 2wd starts arriving on the market. Most drivers cannot seen the benefit of a 4x4 mainly on road vehicle, so will be saving pennies I suspect :wonder:

Regards,

Tim.
