S200 VRS

Featured Replies

Been a while since ive posted anything on the forums but the time has come for me to change my beloved Octavia vrs.The options i have are to stay with the Octavia model and upgrade to the MK2 or go for the new fabia VRS. At the moment i am swaying towards the Fabia as i dont need a big car. The octavia has been without doubt the best car i have ever owned and has never let me down. However 10 years on it has to go. I have sitting in my drive a 2011 Fabia Vrs with decals i believe is the S2000 borrowed today from my dealer until the morning. I must admit this is a great little car. Im not sure if i can live with the decals although its without doubt growing on me and the wife. Am i right in saying that only 20 have been imported into the uk?Is this an investment? I have a couple of photos any comments would maybe help. Oh forgot to mention im 43 and friends have suggested mid life crisis.

Thanks Arnold ;)

If you can live with the decals then so be it. You can just take them off if you get tired of them.

If you are happy to downsize, you'll save quite a bit in fuel, tax and maybe a little off insurance which is good.

Would I say the S2000 is an investment? Probably not as it's exactly the same as a normal vRS except the decals. I'd say the number plate is more of an investment as it's got VRS on it emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Mid-life crisis is a load of rubbish. But then I'm only 24 emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

to have them decals fitted by skoda dealer £1200

Thanks for that. My thoughts were the same, number plate worth a few rubs and loathed to transfer my own personal plate across from the octavia. Lets hope this is as reliable as the Octavia. Its up for 13995 with 1300 miles on the clock.

Personal taste on the colour scheme. I looked at the Octavia VRS but felt I really didn't need that big a car - Mid-life crisis - nah, I'm the same age as you & I just like my motors B)

Thanks for all the thoughts. The deal is now done. By popular demand the stickers will be removed other than the white roof to tie in with the wheels. Plate stays on and picking up this saturday. I like the stickers but due to the amount of pointing etc a collective vote to remove. Roll on saturday :D and a 51 plate octavia vrs will be up for sale :'(

Definate NO on the decals. Fine for a rally car but not for a road car. It is not a Scooby or an Evo which they suit (obviously those appropriate to the car) but IMHO not a Fabia VRs. I feel it cheapens the looks, which although quirky, do grow on you.

As to the downsizing, if you do not need the space, then not a problem, but again from a personal point of view i now wonder if i should have gone for the Octavia. The extra space would come in handy from time to time.
