Hi all, in a moment of madness I purchased genuine OEM aluminium look door release handles & door closing handles for my wife's Fabia Monte Carlo. I have worked out how to remove the door card to gain access to the inside of the door and hence to the door release handle, but cannot establish how to remove the original door release and fit the new, aluminium look handle. Has anyone done this, or know how to do it? There is a pin that goes through the door card & door release, and I think this is all that holds the door release in place, so if I can remove this I can complete the job!

One or two others have done some DIY especially with adding or removing sound deadening in the doors so they might have come across your problem.
