Went to remove my ipod from the ashtray area on the car and when I went ot close the lid, it won't "catch" anymore.

Anybody come across this before / know how to resolve? I can just chuck the car at the dealer for a warranty repair but it means a lot of hassle for what looks to be a simple issue.

Mine did exactly the same. i believe it can be DIY repaired but very fiddly. i did read a thread on here on 'how to do it'.

I got mine replaced under warranty. Phoned to get item ordered and drove to dealer to get fitted. Took less than 30 secs to replace, just 2 screws IIRC. Best option IMO.
