Apparently Google s new social netorking attempt is to prove quite popular with nearly 30 million users signed up in just 2 weeks. Just wondered if anyone here is on it and what are your thoughts.

People I know using Facebook seem to say they are getting fed up with them changing stuff around its like every time you go onto Facebook these days it has changed.

Or is Google + just one of those fads just because its Google, personally I think you can give out far to much personal info about yourself on both.

I tried it. Nothing happens. It's dead already.

I stick my head in once a week now, and there's maybe one new post in my stream.

i joined today, seems like another myspace/facebook networking site. A few of my friends signed up and invited me so thought id give it a go. Still figuring out how it works lol. Although facebook keeps changing i still think its the easiest site to use.

I cant think Google + can overtake Facebook they have over 750 million users but Google has the perfect place to get everyone's attention to Google + as they let you know via their own Google search page which most people use and they let you know its available with a blue arrow to grab your attention so in a way I can see quite a lot of people giving it a go but has Google arrived at the end of the social networking party just as everyone is leaving, in other words have they left it too late.

Cant see Google + gaining 750 million users but if they can get to the position of 2nd most popular social networking site in 1 year then I suppose they will be happy with anything less seeing them shut it down and move onto something else.

You have to give credit to Google they are everywhere right now, Just paid millions to buyout Motorola so you will be seeing more of Google in the mobile phone industry now.

I do like it. It has a few niggles but now that it's open to everyone and the fact that Facebook seems to have chucked everything including the kitchen sink in this last update, it's now just a mess which I think will sway a lot of people over to Google+. Quite a few of my friends have done so this week and it seems to be the more grown up one too and not the ones who are more suited to Bebo. The one thing that has hurt Google+ is that they took far too long in Beta stage. They should have released it for everyone from the off or had a month Beta instead of about 6. It was fine from day one.
