Featured Replies

Hi all, just wondering whats checked/changed during this service?

Octavia vRS? Presumably on fixed service intervals? What services have been done so far and when?

Doh! sorry guys, yup its an Octavia vRS, its had a oli and filter change before around 17K dunno if its fixed or variable, I like to get a service in sooner rather than later though... the indicator on the dash is telling me 900 miles to service car has approx 26k dealer sticker says next service at 27K...phew

On 10000 fixed servicing, the 30k is a tiddly service - Just oil change and general inspection I thought. its 20k, 40k where filters are changed, and 60k when the toothed belt is usually done. :)

Fixed Service Intervals (QG2)

Oil change every 10,000 miles

Inspection Service (includes an oil change service) every 24 months.

Oil change service if car driven 10,000 miles before 12 months has elapsed

If driven more than 20,000 miles before 2 years have elapsed, an inspection service should not be carried out after 2 years but after 20,000 miles.

Brake fluid change every 24 months.

fook me, they want nearly 400 Euros for an oil/brake fluid change!!! feck em back to doing it meself;)

It's quite common that they don't check properly which type of service is required and quote for the more expensive one.

If you point out that it's just the oil change service then you should get it for under

How do I tell what service schedule my Octy vRS is on?

How do I tell what service schedule my Octy vRS is on?
Have a look in the Service Schedule and see what has been written in the Next Service box under the last service details.
