Waxing

Featured Replies

Hi comrades, I have a black magic elegance and I've used mequires gold wax it's beading lovely but why does it bloom showing shwirls? , to warm ? To cold how should I apply for best results, on the cappuchinno it's no bother just on the black

Don't apply in direct sunshine if you can help it, and definitely not if it's very hot.

Don't use too much. A little bit goes a long way.

Use a slightly damp applicator to apply and use a decent (and clean) microfibre to buff.

Is it the product that is swirled? Or does your bodywork have swirls/cobwebs? If it's your bodywork, it'll need machine polishing out.

Do you use polish before you wax? Do you use (shudder) carwashes?

too much wax can cause hologramming (lots of swirls all closely packed) if you remove the wax on the effected pannel and check they'll be gone. that is if you dont already have swirly paint lol.

just use very thin layers and make sure you buff with a high quality towel.

Don't do too much at once is key. Used Collinite yesterday and was going well and as it was cloudy I did all the roof at once. Then the sun came out and was a nightmare to buff it off. Always do small sections and use the best buffing microfibre you can get your hands on.

May be using too much then ! ;)

You should apply Poorboys Blackhole Glaze prior to waxing.

This will irradicate your holograms and fine swirls
