How to change the coolant on my 08 octavia

Hi all, can someone one please indicate how i would change the coolant on my octavia 2008 tdi, i have done this before on other cars but cant see a drain tap anywhere on the bottom and no obivous water hoses as there are so many. Any help appreciated.

I haven't done this on my Skoda, but a number of my previous cars that I owned and serviced did not have radiator drain cocks, and the recommended way to drain them was to detach a lower hose. This might need a new hose clip on replacement if the original is crimped and not reusable.

Remember also to have all systems 'open', e.g. valves to the cabin heater, when draining down. In some cases it was necessary also to remove plugs/temperature sensors at high points when refilling to avoid air locks. New washers or thread seal tape could be needed if this is done to avoid slow leaks.

It's important to use the recommended VAG antifreeze when refilling in order to protect engine seals from deterioration. Also rinse any spilt antifreeze off paint or it may strip it.
