Will Honda wheels fit on my Octavia?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I have a set of winter tyres on a set of Honda accord wheels(5x114 pcd) and I jet want to know if it's possible to make them fit on 2006 Octavia vrs by wobble bolt or spacers? Jet feel it's a bit of a waste getting a new set of wheels if I can make them fit the Octavia. If I can't make them fit I'll just have to get the tyres changed over when the bad weather comes.

Thanks in advance

Tim

maybe fit with spacers, but the mk2 octavia is 5x112 pcd

Spacers will make no difference to fitting a 5x114.3 wheel onto a 5x112 hub, but wobble bolts would allow this. There is a good article on wobble bolts here. I think the centre bore on a five stud Honda Accord wheel is larger than on your Octavia so you will need spigot rings to get the wheel to sit properly on the hub. If the centre bore is less than on your Octavia (57.1mm) you could have them machined out by an engineering company. The offset of the Honda wheel is likely to be OK on your Octavia, but check first. You might want to check that your insurance company is happy with all this before you start spending money on wobble bolts and spigot rings.

Personally speaking I'd rather take the tyres off, put them on some secondhand VW/Audi/Skoda/SEAT wheels in the correct fitment, and then sell the Honda wheels on.

I take it the tyres are the correct size for your Octavia?

By spacers I ment adaptors. The the Honda wheels I've got are 17" and the tyres are 225/45/17's which are the same as the car has at the moment.

adapters will work, but your looking at around £200 for a set of hubcentric ones

Sell them here:

ignoring all the technical issues, the eagle - eyed amongst us will spot that your car has Honda wheels on and probably leave you a polite note on your windscreen :giggle:
