Vrs vibrations

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Wonder if you could help me isolate a problem in my fabia vrs.

Tickover is relatively quiet and smooth. Little difference in neutral with clutch up or down. Maybe a slight vibration with clutch engaged - more of the wobble that is often mentioned - not bothered about it.

If i rev the engine to 1000 rpm it vibrates quite noticably - clutch in or out, no difference. I can feel it through pedals, steering wheel and seat.  It is also noisy in a thrummy, gruff and growly way that resonates through the whole car.  This vibration continues to about 1300 rpm where things smooth out to what i would consider normal pd levels.

It's annoying as it makes pulling away an uncomfortable situation.

It's not ear splitting or at earthquake levels, but i'm sure it's got worse lately.

74k, 04 plate, not thrashed.

Cheers,

Sam
