Wheel Wax - again

Featured Replies

The Lifeshine came with a 'goodies' bag of AG products. The SRP seems a decent enough polish to me although I'm sure there's better. AG recommend topping it off with their Extra Gloss Protection which I'm not too keen on since it tends to produce a white powdery residue on removal. Guess I could try the 845 over SRP and test the durability out. Then later on decide either revert back to the SRP treatment or carry on with the 845 - or clean the paintwork back and start again with the Collinite.:wonder:

No. had not seen that one, guess they have to be cautious since there are so many products out there. Found these though :-

At the end of the day it is only the 845's durability which comes into question when applied directly over SRP. It's the same on alloys when putting it over say Jetseal 109 rather than cleaning back first. Guess the only definitive answer is to try it and see.

Best not hold your breath, being pessimistic. that claim appears to be a tad optimistic to me :wonder: I contacted them a earlier and they stated that 25ml would do approx 5 'average' sized wheels. If it lasts a year then that's reasonable- less and it becomes expensive.

Think I'll await your findings on that one - guinea pigs, proof of the pudding etc etc.:giggle: You get a loads of applications from a bottle of Jetseal even if the durability is less than C5 - as you would with the Collinite 845 I guess.

Going by my experience that would be about right. I did all four 18" wheels on my superb and one 15" alloy on my wife's Fiat 500. So now I have one easy to clean wheel on the 500! ;)

I went for this after doing my windscreen last December with G1. Impressed by performance of that so I decided to go for C2 on paint and c5 on wheels at the beginning of the summer.

I did this out of being lazy. Anything that makes it easier to clean is good for me. :)

Cheers

Steve
