Octavia sat nav

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have recently (yesterday) purchased a 2007 Skoda Octavia Tdi Vrs Estate (not from a Skoda dealership) which has the Columbus sat nav system fitted.

All went well on the way hoem but now whenever I start the navigation it defaults to a town somewhere in Germany.

Can anyone help me to sort this problem. I have reset to factory settings, I have no disc with the vehiclke but understand I might be able to download something.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

I have the opposite problem, I've bought a brand new 2011 Octavia and I have uk and european sat nav, I live in Germany and can't find a think, but the UK is fine and dandy.

You have "Regensburg syndrome". At some point in the past a firmware update has been done on your car and the Columbus defaults to this location on start up. There has been lots of postings on this in the past. If you type regensberg syndrome into the search facility at the top of the page you will get quite a few results appear. Hope that helps a bit.
