215/65 R16 Tyres

Featured Replies

Has any one experience of this tyre size fitment?

Are there any clearance issues?

Tyre diameter goes from approx 664mm to 686mm, an increase of 22mm.

The Yeti concept I believe had 215/65 R16 tyres, mind it was just a static. Would imagine the rears would be OK but I'm unsure of the fronts; think there's a high chance of fouling something. Oh and I'm pretty sure your speedo and mileometer might be edging into the realms of clocking (under reading)

Any reason your looking at such a size :wonder:

I need a tyre which can cope with a lot of off road use throughout winter.

The standard tyres should cope well enough in the summer though.

Not a great choice or availability of 60 profile 4x4 tyres, but loads of 65.

I’m a mole catcher and tow a 500kg trailer and quad bike to some pretty sticky locations.

I’m considering a Yeti to replace my Nissan Terrano which is a fantastic off road vehicle but not very economical, 27mpg tops towing and I do 25k a year.

The Nissan speedo reads 10% out, true speed by satnav 63mph, speedo says 70mph. Not clocking, but I never get done for speeding!!

Look up Yokohama's Geolandar, there's a mud plugger version available in the 215/60 R16 size.

Hope that helps,
