I'm upgrading from an MFD2 to a Columbus in the near future and have a couple of questions that I hope someone will be able to help me with.

As my Octavia already has sat nav, will there be any need to get a different surround for the dash? I'm assuming not but if I do, can anyone give me the correct part number?

Also, I know there have been issues with battery drain with late-model Columbuses (Columbii?) and some Octavias. My car is on 07/57 plate VRs registered in November. How can I check to see if the CAN gateway is OK or needs replacing?

never had a probblem with battery drain on my 07 octy i think it earler cars :thumbup:

Has anyone made this upgrade before?

Does anyone know if it just a plug and play swap or if I need to get some adaptors etc. It's being fitted at the weekend (hopefully) and I'd need to get all of the bits needed beforehand.
