Have I missed something ?

Featured Replies

Took my Octavia in today for a minor job and Dealer's Computer started moaning about the fuel pump needing 5 bolts changing.

Was this a recall that passed me by or was I asleep ?

Thank you FredW, that is a relief. I thought I had a 2005 Octavia with a 1998 1.9 TDI in it !!! :)

It sounds like the safety recall that I received yesterday (9-March). Aparently some vehicles wiyth diesel engines have incorrect bolts fitted in the "Tandem Fuel Pump". The letter went on to say that I should make an appointment to have the bolts checked. The pump will be repaired if necessary, the work would take about an our and would be free of charge.

Another example of Skoda's quality control not being all that it used to be or is made out to be? :thumbdwn:

A work mate has just recieved his recall, he has a Seat Leon CupraTDI, they seem to be very slow with this recall as it's not a major safety issue.

I'd rather they do a recall than a cover-up ;) Especially as it's gonna be free of charge :)
