Headlight washers

Featured Replies

Hi All

Last month i replaced my fabia Vrs with a Race Blue Octavia Vrs.

One thing i have noticed is the headlight washers dont work. I know they only work once every 5 washes or what ever it is (cant remember) My question is do they use water pressure to pop out as i think a pipe has come off.

Cheers

Martin

They only work when the headlights are on

Yes, that's how they work. And they activate on every 5th use of the windscreen washers when your headlights are on, for that journey.

I'd check the fuse that's associated with them. When I bought mine, they weren't working and this was the cause.

Check the fuse section of the manual, and it'll show you which one it is.

One of mine hasn't worked since I got the car, tried the wd40 fix without much luck. tbh I don't really notice it and it's cheaper to ignore my problem than it is to pay for it to be fixed, which I imagine isn't too cheap.

Anyone know how much it IS to get one of the washers fixed?

:)

I wish someone knew how to change the timings on vcds so I don't have to wash the whole car when I want to clean my screen!

The settings I posted don't work on the FL then? Shame they moved so many settings about really.

The adjustment for mine is under 09-Central Electrics, then contained within the long coding.

Thanks I need to have a bit better look, is it a bumper off job to find where the fluid lines go? Im sure one has just come off because the fluid just ends up on the floor.

Yes. Can't think of any other way you could do it.
