i could probably sell the stage 2 stuff then?

turbo decat? not sure how much there worth

Sell your engine, turbo, downpipe, FMIC (etc) for £2k and then get Unit 18 to 1.8T your Fabia up to like 350-400bhp...

Don't know the hardware you've got. But if it's s gtb2260 with larger nozzles then your not going to get much better.

Either sell up or go down the big turbo 1.8T route would be my advice.

If you already have all the bits to make the car work with 240 bhp then all you need for more power is...

This

and this

and some clever mapping and LSD

The trouble is you would need a ported head to use that turbo to its full potential.

was in my m8's megane f1 and he was going through £100+ in fuel a week and struggled to keep up with me accelerating,he even asked to swap it with me lol

Have you seen the price of those Megane 225's though, they're well cheap, sub 60k miler can be had for under 5 grand! Plus they map to ~280bhp on pretty much standard hardware. If power is what you want I'd save my money, you could probably get a 225 and map it for about what you want to spend 'extra' on getting a fabia up to less power, plus the fabia is heavier than a 225 I reckon, so you'll never beat one to 60 even after you've spunked all your cash...

Edit: er, so thats a no from me...

Never realised they mapped so well, the couple of places I asked when I looked at them said 35-40bhp from a map.

Tbh, if your going to sell up for another motor, might as well go for a evo or something proper fast. IMO of course

I think its the 'stage 2' maps that are now available that can push them to 280ish with an uprated blow-off valve to keep the boosts in, been looking into them as a serious consideration as a next car. Sure I'd love a snarling imprezza/R32 GT-R/Pulsar or similar, but insurance is a killer here in Mancatraz, and 225's seem to pull out suprisingly low quotes.

We'll probably get a 225 or 230 to replace the 182 at some point. Early ones you were unable to disable ESP fully. Later ones (trophy onwards) had improved steering.
