Cars built with individualistic taste

Featured Replies

Was browsing through youtube and came across this "tasteful" conversion of the originally butt-ugly TR4a.

I am particularly intrigued by the rear spare wheel butress.

This brave individual has obviously recieved a sudden gift in the brain department.

I'm not sure about the continental wheel mount or the hard-top either, but the engine and sound-track are major improvements over standard, and the hard-top might be easily removable!

The result of a chance mating between a Triumph and a Lincoln.

Triumph sports cars were never that renowned for their good handling, I would imagine that sticking a lump of V8 in the front is not likely to help a great deal in that department!

I'm not sure that the square styling of the hard top works very well with the rest of the car. Perhaps something like this would work better on a squarer body like, say, a Gilburn Invader?

That has probably got me banned from Wales!

I assume that is satire on the USA tastes as the Michelotti styling is still head turning today. A guy near to me has a BRG example in immaculate condition.

I even like the later TR6 and actually drove one in my student days. The rear suspension squat under power had an interesting effect on the steering in corners but boy did it go!

Yeah, I love the TR4a, I like the design cues from the TR3 (headlights, front buttress and the rear buttress).

Americans----------They are very strange :wonder:
