Does anybody know off hand which wires in the stereo multi plug are live and neutral?

Brown is always Live. In a 3-pin mains wire, brown is live, green/yellow is earth & blue is neutral.

On a car, black is usually negative/earth (as on a car neg IS earth) and red is positive.

That would be great thanks, I had almost given up and ran a lead to the cigarette lighter! but from behind the stereo would be much neater..i want to put the Detector in at the weekend sometime, as it has saved my neck a few times already.
