Underbody protection on 4x4 models

Featured Replies

Hi

I am looking at Mk2 Superb to replace my wife's Octavia (I have Mk1 2.5V6 man. Superb and am very happy with it). I imported my last 2 Skodas from Ireland, where I could choose "rough road package" as factory option.

Is there any extra underbody protection (skid plate, fully covered brake and fuel lines) on UK 4x4 Superbs as standard? I am particularly interested in 3.6V6 4x4 and 2.0TDI 140bhp 4x4.

Nothing I can see on mine. Then again, it's not designed to be an 'off road car' the AWD system is an aid to traction. Don't expect it to do what a Land Rover can do.
