SE+ GSM II kit very quiet

Featured Replies

Anyone out there got an SE+ with the standard fit phone kit? Volume on ours seems very quiet; you need to turn it up to nearly full to hear the audio, which makes the disconnected ding-dong very loud. Luckily the radio, sat-nav, and phone all seem to have independant volume settings. I can't find any settings in the radio or maxi-dot menus.

Phone is a nokia X6, which has worked fine with our Parrot hands-free kits in the past.

Grateful for any advice.

I have what you have. I have no problem. I have read that not all phone types work properly with the SE+ Bluetooth system. there is a thread on this. Mine is an iPhone and volume is fine. It adjusts as you speak using the radio volume knob.

My son has linked a Galaxy S to our Octy Estate SE+ with no bother at all and two way comms are as clear as crystal.

Out of interest did your SE+ come with an ipod MDI lead and a USB MDI lead? the wife hasn't got a clue about these and i haven't even seen the car yet because i'm offshore.

We took delivery of my wife's SE Plus last week. The iPod MDI cable wasn't with the car (which had been brought in from another dealer). Our dealer gave us one from their stock since the brochure clearly says it come with MDI and cable.

As for the original question, I've only tried the Bluetooth with my wife's SE C905. The volume seemed fine to both of us.

Might be a silly point, but the call volume on the phone itself it up to full volume isn't it? Turn the phones volume up when on a call to check.
