Paddle Shifter "Extensions"

Featured Replies

Apart from those ridiculous priced imports, has anybody found some locally sourced (preferably organic) paddle extensions? Surely >somebody< has taken on this relativly simple but potentially lucrative little job?

Have you tried false nails instead?

You tart! :D

no good for me i would end up chewing them.

i've wanted to do this for a long time, but either pricing or a lack of info hinders me.

the main issue is which ones do we use - vw or audi ones? i believe its the audi ones we have, as the shifters on the skoda look more like the audi shifters, than the vw ones.

my choice of preferences......

1.ST2 Paddle Shifters. Replaces (not stick on) the oem shifters with longer ones. Expensive though. They can't confirm which ones the skoda has unless someone is willing to remove the oem skoda shifters and send it to them for verification and compatability. Skodas aren't available in the USA.

i just got my skoda, so i'm not prepared to pull my steering wheel apart to remove the paddle shifters.

2.Maniac Paddle Shift Extensions. Stick ons. Almost as exy as the replacement ones. again, audi vs vw uncertainty hovers.

I got some of the Manic Paddle Shift Extensions for the VW Golf thinking they would fit my Octavia Estate with the DSG gear box, but they don't. So had to sell them on ebay at a lose.

just as i thought!

so the vw shifters r indeed different to the skoda shifters.

has to b the audi shifters then....as i previously thought, and as the dude from S2T performance guessed as well - judging from the pics we sent him.

now if only they weren't so darn exy!!

The S2T ones do look good but as per my original post, they are so expensive and there is no guarantee they will fit.

Somebody on here must own/work for an engineering shop that could turn these out far cheaper..........

BUMP!!!

Anybody found some sensible priced ones yet?

nope......prices r even more ridonculous to get anything downunder!!!

however on recent events here, another forum member is having good conversation with Michael from ST2P, to determine the right shifters for the octavia.

vw shifters definately do not fit, and were confirmed a number of times.

It's either one of 2 oem audi paddle shifter designs.

sadly, we'll only know the results in march though.

I'm a big fan of these, but being Porsche, they'll be rather costly:
