Does anybody in the know have any idea how many Octy vRS petrol and how many vRS diesels were sold brand new in 2011?

It would be interesting to know if the petrol buyers lean more towards the Golf GTI.

We know the vRS is the better option spec and size wise but let's face it alot of people are badge snobs!

The Golf GTD just looks too plain and like every other golf, so to me if you want a sporty looking diesel then you would pick the vRS.

But the GTI looks the part,so would prob sell more than the petrol vRS....

Anyone know any answers to the above rambling question!?

Those figures are wayyyy off line. Skoda have sold a hell of a lot more vRS's in the UK than that. According to that, between 2001 and 2006, only 1805 were on the road - they sold more than that here in 2002 alone!

It's less accurate for the new stuff but only counts ones that are still on the road. Written off ones or SORN don't count and SORN is a different total
