Ordered some parts from superskoda

Featured Replies

Hi guys I've just bought the shiney black B pillars and the sunglasses holder for the my yeti from super skoda.

They only arrived this morning so I haven't had chance to have a go at fitting them as yet.

But I wondered if any of you guys have ever put either of them in?

Just thought it might be easier to ask and someone may have some tips.

Thanks guys.

I fitted the sunglasses holder in approx 48 seconds, would have been quicker but needed to find my swiss army knife in the centre console. ;)

It unclips and the new one pops into the same hole.

Hi yup the sunglasses holder was seconds. As for the B pillars they were just stick on. So other than getting them lined up just right that was also very easy.

I'll post some before and after shots so you can see if anyone would like.

Thanks for your help though.

I'm interested - like quite a bit of their stuff, although the postage costs scare me.

I bought my sunglasses holder from a VW dealer (Skoda dealer stock them as well) and it might work out cheaper - I think I paid 15 quid incl. VAT about 5 months ago.

Have you ever fitted decals before?

If not then the best method is to put some water with a drop of washing up liquid into a spray bottle and mist spray the pillars AND the sticky side of the decals before applying them, this will enable you to slide the decals into the exact position you require, then give the outside of the decal a quick mist spray so you do not scratch the decals, and use a squeegee (or a credit card) push the air bubbles out from behind the decals, the decals then need to dry out fully - either naturally for approx 24hrs or with a hair dryer on a low heat setting.

Thanks gizmo but I already fitted them.

I'll post some pics this weekend for those who are interested.

What do all of you put in the sunglasses holder....Yes seriously.

Mine are too wide and swmbo designers are too big all over.

My sunglasses and phone live in the box on top of the dash.

I thought it might be useful for coins, but otherwise mine has never been used.:smirk:

Access obviously - he is 'your flexible friend' after all. :giggle:

My sunglasses fit snuggly in the holder

None of my sunglasses fit. I put there my garage door remote now.

Ordered the bits - stainless front trims, fog light surrounds, handle covers, bumper cover, b post covers et al......

Being delivered to work so SWMBO doesnt see.....

She probably won't notice when I fit them :giggle::giggle::giggle:

I know some of you have had problems, but I found Superskoda's service to be brilliant - once I'd sorted Paypal out - silly arses froze my account until i changed security details etc 'cos i dared to make a payment to an Eastern European person / company, and then forgot to unfreeze it.......

Stuff took two days to arrive once that was done!!

All looks great - looking forward to fitting it now when 't wife isn't around and it stops bloody raining!! ;);)

No problems at all with either Paypal or Superskoda.

Have got:

Stainless fog/dlr light trims:

stainless exhaust pipe trims;

seat handle covers;

door wind stoppers.

Tip - don't rely on the sticky tape to hold the stuff in place - put a few drops of super glue on the sticky bits before you place them, they stay on properly then...

Yes I fitted the Skoda one following the instructions here; http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/168285-fitting-guide-underseat-storage-drawer/

Fred

I have mine already there as standard, but has anybody fitted one under drivers seat? (I have the 'standard' plastic box at the moment)

I have a set of underseat storeage (both sides) for a Touran, but unfortunatly it won't fit the Yeti - As I'd paid extra for them I 'liberated' them before the car went back !!
