Chippin'

Featured Replies

Just got me new VRS about 3 weeks ago and love it to bits. Non motorway journeys that used take me 3 1/2 hours are now done in 2 and 3/4 hours and thats driving at 75 mph under cruise when not over taking as still on run in period. And what a pleasure overtaking is, previously got stuck on back roads behind artics and spend forever trying to get past them, in the VRS don't even have to drop out of fifth to get past, beautiful.

However as with all things in life can see the power waning after time. Thinking about chippin the car in a years time and would like to know the pros and cons, particularly from an Irish perspective.

Pay 850 euros at present for insurance, what will a remap and new exhaust do to my premium .

Can the remap be done in Ireland, if so who is best or should I just go to Jabba.

What damage can be done to an engine from a remap, if any.

Is the maximum output still 5500 rpm after remap.

Cheers for any replys.

Dubski

mine has been fitted with a super chip it cost around

there are a couple of irish chaps on here that have been revo'd in ireland. best thing to do is check the revo or APR website and see what dealers are based over your way.

Generally most tuners get roughly the same results although the prices do vary.

Use the search facility for find peoples opinions....too many to list here.

Our last group buy has one of our members travelling from Ireland to Jabba for a remap and another previously travelled from Norway.

What ever you choose....enjoy.
