Romford area garage advice

Featured Replies

My son now lives in Romford and needs discs and pads on his 2001 Polo. Normally I sort these things when he comes home, but he will not be back for a while and the work needs to be done.

I don't want him to be ripped off.

Can anyone please recommend a good independent, trustworthy Skoda/VW independent in the Romford area?

Thanks

Anyone from Romford area?

Only East London. About 10 or so miles from you.

It's not a big job though, has he thought about doing it himself and saving a few £££?

You should have been showing him how to do these minor jobs.

Thanks for the lecture. A great help to my son who is not at all interested in car mechanics.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I take it I'm too far away then?

I used Westside Motors in Woodford (1/2 hour from Romford)

For about 10 years before I moved away to Bristol.

Westside is a reasonably priced VAG independent workshop directly

next to a pub called the Castle at Woodford Green.

They also restore and sell vintage VW campers and beetles and the like.

Steve (the gaffer) and Chris (his number 1) are very nice chaps

and they should take care of your boys Polo.
