My Greenline II is broken. :(

Featured Replies

Driving into work this morning and "snap" clutch pedal hit the floor.

(9 months and 13,600 miles)

Had to drive the last four miles into London with no clutch, which was interesting.

I wonder if Skoda will pay for my extra fuel while the Greenline II is off the road. :giggle:

It's feeling sorry for itself now that his big brother is getting more attention!!!

That used to happen to the mk1's aswell, hope its fixed promptly!

It's lucky you wasn't in the middle if a 3 point turn or something :)

How did u negotiate red lights!?? Any prior warning to it going, noises, stiffness??

No, nothing at all. Just pressed the clutch to change down coming to a roundabout off the motorway and it went.

I reached down and pulled it back up, but as soon as I pressed it there was no resistance and it hit the floor again.

Fortunately I know the route so drove the rest of the way with no clutch. When it was a downhill junction/lights I let it roll before popping into first and when it was uphill I backed right off and coasted in first to allow the traffic to move before I got there. Never had to switch the engine off once.

Getting across a busy roundabout with three lanes and traffic lights on it was interesting. :wonder:

You may be right.

I'll be getting 18mpg instead of 80mpg tonight though!

18MPG!!!! what are you driving!?!?! it's not my old 214,000mile 106 xsi is it, cos i used to get 14mpg out of it. i always suspected it had a hole in the fuel tank though

I had the same problem with the Polo I ran before my Fabia.

The pedal box had snapped.emoticon-0149-no.gif

Oh no, an excuse to take out the GT-R...

How ever will you cope? ;)

*Jealousy mode off*

It happened to me a few times in my Clio but never in my Polo or last 2 Fabia's, hope you get it fix quickly.

I also have a Nissan.

But it's pointless for the commute as it's far, far less economical and what is the point of a car that does 0-60mph in 3 seconds when all lanes are doing 60mph and you have your head shoved up the rear end of a Transit who won't pull over in lane 4 of the M25?

The car is fixed. Well done Skoda.

It was recovered to my local dealer about 11am and by 4pm the slave cylinder had been replaced and they had washed it.

Why arent the DSG haters in this thread :giggle:

Glad to read the problem was fixed really quickly, the dealers I have had to use many times have always had to order the part in.
