Removal of door wood trimming

Featured Replies

Hi Forum,

I need to remove the "wood/plastic" trimmings on the doors. But they don't seem to come of, the same way as the trimmings around the dash and glove compartment, does.

How to ?

From what I remember you can't do it.I'm not sure how this method is called, but if you look in this picture(taken from a similar B5) where the wood trim should be,those platic clams are somehow melted.VW+Passat+B5+door+card+back.JPG

Thx for the answer. Well gotta find a solution then :)

I asked my local dealer's mechanic and he said those pieces are glued. Maybe with some heat it could be easier...? but there are high chances the rest of the door panel will get damaged.

Are you planning on exchange them for the new L&K wood ones? are they from real wood?

There is no L&K (yet) in the MKII Superb.

Yesterday I updated my etka and the new l&k references are ready to check and available from November 7th. Only the piano black is defined in the description but there seems to be at least two more finishes, one should be the bright wood but, what about the others?

Here are some official photos of the L&K:

L&K sounds like a cake firm in full form, or a ferry service abbreviated, time Skoda found a new name imo, something like Connoisseur or similar.

Also, does anyone know where in the world I can buy the front doors Sound System logo?I just got the Sound System speakers and I would also like to mount the mid-range speakers,so I guess I'll need a cover after I'll drill the door card
