Remote Central Locking

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 1999 Octavia 1.8 SLX. The car has central locking and the 1st owner had the BKA310001 Remote central Locking kit fitted. I have had to change the battery in both the fobs and non of them now lock the car. When I press the lock/unlock button the red led illuminates but the car doesnt lock or unlock. Does any one know how to sync the fobs im at a total loss ive serched this site and the web and can't find nothing. Also the drivers side door lock has stopped locking and unlocking the car and when i turn the key the key can get stuck and the windows will open, i have been told that this is a common problem and I have the repair kit but have not had chance to rectify the problem yet. Would this stop the remote locking from working?

Many Thanks in advance

Sorry, I can't help Rob, but I do have a similar problem! The fob only worked to lock, not unlock, so for the last year we've turned the key to lock & unlock, but like yours, it makes all 4 windows come down when unlocking, and won't lock. We are having to use the boot lock to lock/unlock the car. Would getting a fault code help? Cheapest place to repair/ get a new key/fob?

Hope I'm not hijacking your thread, its bumped it if nothing else!
