Was wondering if they were easy to remove without bending/damaging them?

I had roof bars fitted and need to refit them little black tabs but the counter part to the black tabs arent all where they need to be.

It can be done, they are clipped in at various points along their length. A plastic wedge tool is invaluable, slide it down between the roof and the trim at a clipped point and gently twist it to pop the trim up at one side. There is a knack to it but once you've sussed it out, you'll have them removed in no time. It might be best to start at the front and work your way to the rear.

I got fed up having to replace broken clips etc so just glued mine in, whenever I need to use roof bars I just take the entire gutter strip out, its easy enough to get back in, I tend to persuade mine with a panel beating hammer wrapped in a towel

Does that mean that you can just pull out the gutter strip with no danger of leaks or anything?

I'd like to use roofbars but my fabia comfort estate has no fitting points in the roof strip.

Hhhmmmmmmmm.........right then.....if your "gutterstrip" (the plastic strip between the flat main section of the roof and the roof to door "shoulder")...has no little removable pieces for the roofbars (8 plastic caps in total)....I don't think that you have the "feet" which are under the caps for the bars to fit to!......I am aware that is defo on the hatch....but I belive it to be correct on the estate...maybe.......UNLESS......hang on...the estate has the bolt on roof rails.....so there might be caps for bolt holes under the plastic strip but you might have to remove the inside headining to fit the bolts through for the rails????..
