check rear left fog light

Featured Replies

Hi, I have Skoda superb 2010 with twin back door, for the last month I am getting faulty bulb signal in the dash and message-check rear fog light… but interestingly that actually right fog light is affected, but bulb is ok. Some times when I open and close back door fog light comes back on, but not for long. Does anyone have an Idea what could be wrong; probably there is some switch in the closing mechanism in back door or something else?

I had exactly the same symptoms, which turned out to be the first signs of a failing ECM. :(

Seriously though, cripes. Warranty one hopes.

Yes, warranty replacement for the control module (behind the dash on the right-hand side). A little protracted, however, as Skoda sent over a special cable to be used to test the ECM before they would consider replacing it. There wasn't a replacement unit anywhere in the UK, so I had to make four trips to the dealer (30 miles per trip) and wait for about four weeks after the cable test before completion.

No problems at all since. :)

Thanks for reply, is that ECM a common problem on these cars!? In addition yesterday I got engine management light on and there was no power when accelerating, but it went away again later on. I am confused; there is only 27k miles on the clock.
